Dry Needling
Dry needling is often referred to as ‘Western Acupuncture’.
It is a techniques which involves inserting a fine needle into the trigger points commonly perceived as “knots” within tight muscles.
The needles do not inject fluid into the body, hence the term ‘dry’. It aims to relieve muscular pain and injuries.
The dry needling process is designed to create a twitch response. With neural input, the twitch in turn acts as a mechanism to aid the relaxation of dysfunctional muscle tissue.
